Tommy Bahama Raffia Hat

The Vent Crochet Raffia is what would happen if a fedora took a vacation.

Made of 100 percent raffia, the hat is made by Tommy Bahama, the undisputed king of clothes designed for both Jimmy Buffett fans and white people who pronounce “Hawaii” as “ah-WAH-hee” to try to sound cultured in mixed company.

The herringbone ribbon with jute overlay adds as much class as an outdoor beach-casual hat can tolerate. The shape won’t make your guy’s head look big, like so many fedora-style hats tend to do.

The raffia has an open crochet pattern that encourages airflow and adds an extra layer of texture and overall awesomeness.

Gangsters and the Rat Pack made the fedora the icon of old-school class and style. Then hipsters from Brooklyn stole the fedora and made it something you wanted to punch people in the face for wearing.

Now, Tommy Bahama took it back — and he took it to Maui.
